The Ghana Police Service has arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as “Fatau Motorway,” for his involvement in the violent clash between New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.

Ibrahim was identified after a widely circulated video showed him brandishing a firearm during the incident, which reportedly left two individuals with gunshot injuries. The footage played a significant role in his capture.

“He is currently in police custody and will face court proceedings soon,” the police confirmed, noting that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full details of the incident.
