In a highly anticipated El Clasico clash, Barcelona delivered a crushing 4-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, marking a disappointing debut for Real’s new star Kylian Mbappe in the iconic fixture.
The first half ended scoreless, with Real Madrid creating several scoring opportunities but failing to convert. However, Barcelona took control in the second half. A swift double from Barcelona’s German forward Robert Lewandowski and a record-breaking goal from young star Yamal set the tone, with Yamal becoming the youngest player to score in an El Clasico.
Barcelona captain Raphinha capped off the evening with a stunning goal in the 84th minute, solidifying the victory.
Mbappe, expected to be a game-changer, struggled under the pressure, facing multiple offside calls and missing a critical one-on-one chance that could have revitalized his side’s hopes when they trailed by two.
With this win, Barcelona now sits at the top of the La Liga table with 30 points, pulling six points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, who hold 24 points.
