In a shocking turn of events, popular Nigerian socialite Bobrisky was arrested just days after being granted bail by the Nigerian police. The dramatic incident occurred on Thursday evening as he was preparing to board a flight to London.
Eyewitnesses reported that Nigerian authorities intervened moments before takeoff, escorting Bobrisky off the plane in front of other passengers. Following the arrest, he took to Instagram to plead for help, stating, “Nigerians, help me. The EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.”
Just last week, Bobrisky was detained by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border while allegedly attempting to leave the country. His legal troubles escalated after an audio recording surfaced in which he reportedly claimed he was allowed to serve his six-month jail term outside Kirikiri prison due to “influential connections.”
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into these allegations. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
